New Loan Dialog Series
When Moneylender Express starts for the first time it prompts you to set up your first loan.
You can cancel out of this process and work with a blank loan if you prefer. The new loan
dialog sequence allows you to enter a title, notes, borrower information, and loan terms in
succession to get the basics of the loan into the system easily. For details on each step
in the new loan sequence visit their corresponding dialog listings below:

Main Window
This window shows the current status of your loan. The title of the loan appears at top left, and borrower
name at top right. Vital statistics of the loan are displayed in the middle with loan notes appearing below
them.
Dialog Elements:
File Menu - provides for opening a loan, creating a new
loan, renaming the current loan, and exiting the program
Edit Menu - provides undo action for payment changes,
terms changes, and borrower changes. MLE stores the last ten actions in memory should you need
to undo them.
Loan Menu - provides for prequalifying a loan, managing the
loan borrower, terms, and payments, and printing vouchers to give to your
borrower to include with their payments.
Settings Menu - provides access to the lender information dialog and
this online help catalog.
Loan Title - the upper-left label displays the loan title. Clicking it opens
the Loan Title dialog.
Borrower - the upper-right label displays the borrower's name. Clicking
it opens the Borrower Information dialog.
Loan Data - the middle of this window contains the vital statistics of the
loan:
"Initial Balance" represents the principal borrowed as set in the Loan
Terms dialog.
"Current Balance" shows the principal plus any interest accrued less payments made to date. If payments are recorded for a future date, or are otherwise unaccounted
for, this number appears in blue and a note appears above the payment list.
"Payoff Amount" is the current balance plus any unpaid late fees, unaccounted and future payments
are included in this amount.
"Late Fees Due" shows the total unpaid late fees on the account. If your borrower owes
late fees, Moneylender Express will pay the late fees from any amount over the regular payment in each period
before crediting additional surplus to the loan balance. If your borrower only makes the regular payment,
it is credited to the loan and late fees will remain unpaid until an amount greater than the regular payment
is credited to the account in a single period.
"Interest Accrued To Date" shows how much interest has been earned on the loan to date.
"Total Paid" shows the sum of all payments on the loan, but does not included payments of
type "None" (gray icons).
Loan Note - the scrolling textbox in the middle of the window displays the notes
you have on the loan.
Payment List - the bottom of the window is consumed by the payment list. Here
you'll see all payments on file for this loan. Add a payment to the loan by double-clicking "New Payment",
choosing "New Payment..." from the Loan menu, or pressing Ctrl+P. You can edit a payment by double-clicking
it, or selecting it and either choosing "Edit Payment..." from the Loan menu or pressing Ctrl+E. You can
